At Easington Colliery Primary School, we have experience of supporting children and young people with a wide range of need including:
- Specific Learning Difficulties
- Moderate Learning Difficulties
- Speech and Language Difficulties
- Social Communication Difficulties
- Hearing Impairment
- Visual Impairment
- ADHD
- Attachment Difficulties
- Autism
- Foetal alcohol syndrome
We also manage a range of medical conditions such as epilepsy, diabetes, asthma and arthritis.
Medical conditions are managed through IHPs (Individual Healthcare Plans) which are shared with parents and the school nurse, and are reviewed annually. The school provides data on the levels and types of need to the Local Authority. This is collected through the school census.
