Enhanced Mainstream Provision
Our school has an Enhanced Mainstream Provision (EMP) for seven places. These places are funded by the local authority and they determine the placements. Children who are part of the EMP access literacy and numeracy in their mainstream class with the required level of support which is determined against their individual needs. The afternoon session are timetabled to work towards their special education needs related to their social communication needs. Staff from the Guidance and Learning center (GLC) compliment the work of the EMP team they are able to advice and support on the behavior management of the children.
Resources
Guidance and Learning Centre (GLC)
The GLC provides short term provision for pupils who may be at risk of permanent exclusion, or where serious incidents have occurred. In addition to this we also offer this service to a wide variety of local primary schools. We use the GLC as part of our behaviour systems in school, linking to our rewards and consequences systems.

Enhanced Mainstream Provision – The Learning Zone (EMP)
The aim of the EMP is to support pupils whose needs are not typically catered for within our special schools in the local authority. The EMP offers children with autism a flexible curriculum and timetable to their learning whilst having high expectations and focusing on the children accessing age related objectives towards their core subjects.
