Computing
Computing is at the forefront of our modern world and as such plays a prominent role in our Curriculum at Easington Colliery Primary School.
Children are taught Computing as a stand-alone lesson once per week, where each half-term they will focus on a key area of either Digital Literacy, Information Technology or Computer Science. In addition to this, they will acquire and further develop their skills in a cross-curricular manner when studying other subjects.
Our Computing Curriculum has been developed in order to ensure that our children have excellent skills and knowledge of modern software and hardware and that they understand how to use these safely and responsibly as citizens of an increasingly digital world.
